From my long-time volunteering in Waterloo Region, I’ve learned that community agencies often have very little in terms of unrestricted and discretionary funds that they can use for the day-to-day needs for their clients – some necessities, and also things that create ease and improve quality of life – bus tickets, toiletries, grocery gift cards – things many of us take for granted.
