“After seeing many community organizations continually requesting essential items for their clients on their social media and websites/newsletters, I was so pleased The Essentials Fund launched in March 2022 to help the Waterloo Region non-profit community by providing an unrestricted grant to help support their clients’ essential needs.
“Essentials items – hygiene items, back packs, clothing, baby formula and diapers, bus tickets to name a few – contribute to ensuring long term health yet funding for this support is almost nonexistent. Now, more than ever, our non-profit sector needs our support as the pandemic and economic realities have caused skyrocketing demand for service with already stretched resources.
“As we prepare to launch the 2024 fundraising campaign, I have much appreciation for our donors because without your support, the Fund would not be a reality and the most vulnerable folks would not be supported. Thank you so much!”
