The Essentials Fund
The goal of The Essentials Fund is to raise funds to support charities and raise awareness that charities need a flexible, unrestricted grant to support their clients’ access to essentials. The Essentials Fund helps to meet the needs of the charities when and where it is needed most.
Unrestricted Funding
Most of the funds charities receive are restricted to specific program purposes. This leaves charities to seek other methods to help when their clients are in need of everyday essentials.
Flexible Support
The Essentials Fund raises funds to support Waterloo Region registered charities and raises awareness that charities need flexible, unrestricted funding to support their clients’ essential needs.
Charity Driven
We trust our charity partners to spend the funding however they deem is necessary and best for the clients they support. An unrestricted grant gives flexibility to purchase specific essential items when needed.

With some of our clients being precariously housed the ability to help in this way is so very important.”
